Biography

I’m an Italian sound engineer living in London since 2014 and I’d like to tell you all about my story in few paragraphs; we’re already sharing something together such as curiosity and the will to discover a new experience.

Born in Rome in 1993, I studied classical music from a very young age due to the influence of family jazz players. I played piano for 4 years, then 3 years transverse flute. I joined my first band around 14 and started playing Drums and electric bass.
At the age of 16 I begun high school for cinematography and tv (called Roberto Rossellini) with masterclasses by Mario Monicelli and doublers from Rca; My desire to continue to be close to music was as immense as my love for films. There is where I saw a first custom made console from Argentini and my love for sound begun.

After first year of college, at the age of 17 I was called to begin my first job in a big venue. I would work for 4 months as head engineer in a summer village with a theatre and performance company. I was in charge of sound and lighting and calibrating pa in external environment.
I then started working as a boom operator (for quite a few times) at the annual Film festival in Rome. There, at the age of 18, I also did my first broadcasting experience as mixer engineer for rai movie channel.

At 19 I began my first job in tv/broadcasting with a company called Futura where I was working as a first assistant O/P and recorded performers in the backstages with radio mics and lavalier mics. I had chance to work with famous Italian artists such as Stefano Bollani, Irene Grandi, and many other in that year. I graduated at 20 years old after spending the last 2 years working in live sound gigs.

High school was great for learning basic OP skills for video/audio connectors, cameras, lighting, avid fully analogue editing systems and for my audio specialization with Nagra tape recorders, analogue signal flows for recording, broadcasting, and live consoles. After my diploma, my aspirations were too big and Italy was limiting me from expressing my full potential and my path toward self-fulfilment.
I therefore, moved to London where I started in 2016 my Ba/Bsc audio production degree, and now I only have a few months left in my degree programme. This is where I enforced my skills in recording mixing and mastering with Neve and SSL consoles. Naturally skilled in editing with most recent DAW pro tools 12 I ‘m now an expert in sound design and 5.1 mixing where I discovered a passion for creating artistic foley’s and location recording.
